LAPD Running a DUI Checkpoint in North Hills Tonight
The LAPD is continuing to send the message to drivers across the city to not drink and drive. There will be at least one DUI checkpoint tonight, located in the San Fernando Valley in North Hills on Roscoe Boulevard between Sepulveda Boulevard and Orion Avenue, and it will run from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
If your coming or going tonight includes drinking, designate a driver, take a cab, or ride the Metro. The LAPD does not have to announce all checkpoints, so there could be more out there.
The LAPD say these checkpoints are a proven enforcement tool effective in reducing the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol involved crashes, as well as being an valuable means for heightening awareness of the dangers of impaired driving.
