Two USC students were struck by a vehicle as they "were walking in the crosswalk at Hoover Street about 3 a.m." according to abc7.com. The pair were hit by "a man driving a dark-colored vehicle east on Jefferson Boulevard," who fled the scene. The students were transported to the hospital, where the 19-year-old female was pronounced dead and the 18-year-old male received care for his "critical injuries." The incident is being investigated by LAPD's South Bureau Traffic Division.
