Cyclist Seriously Injured In Hit-and-Run South of Downtown

Police are looking for the speeding driver of a pick-up truck who hit a cyclist just south of downtown and then fled the scene.The bicyclist was taken to the hospital, but he has serious head trauma. Today police are planning to look at surveillance footage near the scene at Central Avenue and 32nd Street, according to the Los Angeles Times. The collision happened just before 9 pm last night.
Police describe the truck as a red or orange Chevy pickup from the early 1990's. But investigators hope to get more information about the hit-and-run culprit from surveillance video.
