Photos: Silver Lake Meadow Now Open For Your Strolling, Grass-Laying, Reservoir-Looking Enjoyment
If you spend time in Silver Lake and have been longing for a grassy space upon which you can sit, recline, and gawk at the reservoir, your time has come: The much-anticipated Silver Lake Meadow had its soft-opening ceremony this weekend.
A project several years in the works (and a couple of years delayed), the green space is meant for "passive" activities like walking, lying down, kite-flying, kid chasing, jogging, and people-watching, and is open from dawn until dusk. If you've got your canine companion, sorry--you'll have to stick to the dog park portion of the Reservoir's parkland; the Meadow is a people-only place.
Check out a few shots shared with us by current events from Saturday's official unofficial opening.
