Photos from the El Coyote Prop 8 Protest
Around 120 people protested last night in front of El Coyote on Beverly Blvd. over the well-known restaurant manager's donation of $100 to support Prop 8 that eliminated gay marriage in California.
On Wednesday, Marjorie Chrisoffersen wrote a letter to the community expressing her feelings on the matter. "I have been sick at heart that anyone has been offended by me," she said noting that the restaurant has been popular with the gay community. She invited anyone interested to an early lunch to have a discussion about the donation, but that went "horribly wrong," which led to last night's protest.
