Photos: X Games Bring Crazy, Real-Life 'Hot Wheels' Double Loop to Downtown
It's beginning to look a lot like the "X Games" downtown.
The games themselves don't start until tomorrow but construction of the real-life Hot Wheels "Double Loop Dare" looks like it's nearly done—and it looks pretty rad. Two drivers will attempt the 6-story loop—simultaneously, NBC LA says—in the hopes of breaking a world record. Centripetal force (if we're remembering our physics correctly) is supposed to keep the cars from leaving the track.
The drivers will attempt the loop Saturday morning at 11 am. Here's the promo for the stunt:
