A pedestrian was struck and killed in Rancho Cucamonga early this morning by a Metrolink train. "Train 301 was headed westbound from San Bernardino when it struck the victim at Hellman Avenue at around 4:35 a.m. Friday," explains KTLA .

Metrolink has provided buses as alternate transit through the area as the line was shut down to accommodate the investigation, however the commute has been affected this morning in the region.

Information about the victim or why they were on the tracks is not currently available. No passengers aboard the Metrolink train were hurt.
