Pasadena the Next City to Boycott Arizona?
Pasadena may join the ranks of Los Angeles, West Hollywood and various other cities next week. On Monday evening, their city council agenda lists this vague action, submitted by Vice Mayor Victor Gordo: "Consideration of possible city council action in regard to state of Arizona senate bill 1070 relating to the enforcement of federal immigration laws." Frank Girardot at the Pasadena Star News thinks it's a bad idea. "It's my belief that these boycotts might hurt the very people they intend to help," he said.
