Deputies from the Parks Bureau Special Problems Team arrested a man for Grand Theft, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possession of a Firearm with the Serial Number Removed, and Possession of Stolen Property adjacent to Alondra Park Golf Course on Friday, according to a news release. As part of a "grand theft operation using a golf bag and golf clubs valued over $1,000 as bait," deputies watched the suspect, 39-year-old Joe Albert Wolfe, take the "bait" from an undercover vehicle and then followed him to his Lawndale home adjacent to the golf course.

While being arrested for theft inside his residence, authorities, tipped off by the "strong odor of Marijuana emitting from the suspect's bedroom," found about five pounds of baggied-up weed, a nine millimeter hand gun with a removed serial number, $2,000 in U.S. currency, and digital scales.

Wolfe was booked at Lennox Sheriff's Station and his bail was set at $70,000.
