Oopsies! Did You Lose Your Breast Implant Outside the Bushes of the Fashion Island Forever 21? Try Craigslist!

Truth matters. Community matters. Your support makes both possible. LAist is one of the few places where news remains independent and free from political and corporate influence. Stand up for truth and for LAist. Make your year-end tax-deductible gift now.

Some poor soul went to Fashion Island in Newport Beach recently and lost a couple bra cup sizes along the way.

A good Samaritan (or a hilarious prankster who happens to have a spare) posted a picture of the implant in the lost and found section of Orange County's Craigslist on Thursday:

Found! One 450 cc breast implant. Found in bushes outside Forever 21 at Fashion Island. If you lost a breast implant recently this is probably yours. Get that flat tire fixed today and take this thing off my hands.

We cannot possibly imagine what sort of scenario would lead to someone tossing an implant in the bushes during a shopping trip. Did someone have a bad experience test-driving the implant while trying on clothes? (In which case, whoever lost the implant should know that those Forever 21 sizes run small.) Could this be evidence against a cosmetic surgeon in a malpractice suit?

We don't know, but we'll let you know if we hear anything.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
