Federal investigators in the north L.A. suburb of Chatsworth are still poring over the deadly scene of Friday's head-on collision between a Metrolink commuter train carrying 225 people and a Union Pacific freight train. As of this morning, 25 people have died and 135 are injured--40 of them critically.
Metrolink officials say the engineer of the commuter train went through a red light telling him to stop, but investigators are criticizing that claim, saying it is much too early to know the cause. And Monday, the Metrolink spokeswoman who made that claim resigned.
