Kosovo Mental Hospital
NPR's John Burnett reports from Kosovo on the deplorable conditions he found at a state mental hospital. When the Yugoslav army retreated from the region, many frightened Serbs abandoned their jobs; the 300 patients at the mental hospital are being cared for by a small group of ethnic Albanian staffers who resolutely stayed at their posts.
