With all the negative news about children's cough syrup, some parents are wondering how to treat their sick kids. It turns out that honey may be just the thing. New research published in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine suggests this old remedy is good for coughs.

Alex Chadwick gets the story from Slate.com columnist and pediatrician Sydney Spiesel.

Meanwhile, a new poll from NPR, The Kaiser Family Foundation and the Harvard School of Public Health finds that a majority of parents are aware of the cold medication controversy, but still confident in their safety and effectiveness.
