Danube River Bombing
NPR's Sylvia Poggioli reports on the impact of NATO's bombing campaign on the Danube River, one of Europe's major waterways. A Danube Commission fact-finding team has estimated that $86 million would be needed to clear the waterway and rebuild the bridges that were damaged or destroyed by NATO air raids.
