STEVE INSKEEP, host:
Good morning, I'm Steve Inskeep. Wouldn't be hard to understand if a Leavenworth, Kansas, man feels like Wile E. Coyote. Police say the man wanted to steal an entire ATM machine which weighed 3,000 pounds. So he drove it away in a construction machine called a skid loader. The suspect had to crack open the cash machine, so of course he dropped it over a 50-foot embankment, which is when the skid loader also dropped. Police were able to arrest the man at the bottom. It's Morning Edition. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
