During his Senate days, Attorney General nominee John Ashcroft's work with The Singing Senators was well known. But Ashcroft's musical career stretches back more than 20 years. When he was Missouri's attorney general, Ashcroft gave his staff copies of his album In the Spirit of Life and Liberty. From that album, we feature Keep the Bells of Freedom Ringing.
