North Hollywood Man Arrested For His Parents' Murders
A 25-year-old North Hollywood man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering both of his parents.
Jonathan Mercado was arrested in the deaths of his mother Veronica Mercado, 47, and her husband Alexandro Mercado, 51, according to a release from LAPD.
Yesterday afternoon police received a call about a parked car on Webb Avenue near Cantara Street in Sun Valley. Veronica Mercado was found dead in her car and it seemed clear that there had been some sort of foul play (although police do not say how it appears she died). Later on police followed up went to her home on Radford Street in North Hollywood. That's where police found Alexandro Mercado's body, who also appeared to be the victim of foul play.
Detectives arrested Jonathan Mercade after they say they found evidence that links him to his parents' deaths. Few other details were available from police.
