No Foul Play in Death of Woman Found in Malibu Garage

The investigation into the death of a 25-year-old woman whose body was found in the garage of her Malibu home Saturday evening continues, however detectives say this afternoon that they have ruled out foul play.The cause of death of Katherine (Katie) Wilkins has been deferred, pending the results of toxicology reports, though an autopsy has been completed, notes City News Service.
Wilkins' body was found by her brother in the garage of the home in the 23400 block of Moon Shadows Drive, according to broadcast news reports. The Daily News notes that Wilkins worked as a graphic designer.
The woman's vehicle, a silver 1998 BMW Z3, is missing. The vehicle has a red interior, and the license plate is 4AMN588.
Her father, Rob Wilkins, told news reporters said Saturday was "the worst day of [his] life."
The victim's brother says his sister's death is really a mystery. Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department say their investigation is ongoing.
