News of Epic Tanker Truck Inferno Interrupts Angelenos Just Trying to Watch SNL
A tanker trunk carrying 8,600 gallons of gasoline exploded into flames on the 134 freeway near Glendale this evening.
The explosion happened near the 5 freeway interchange around 11 pm, according to NBC LA. It took firefighters over an hour to knock the fire down, and fortunately everyone managed to escape from the scene unscathed.
Video and photos from the scene show that the blaze was pretty epic while it was raging, but when NBC LA aired footage of the fire during SNL, Angelenos really could not care less.
UPDATE: Cops say a drunk driver rammed into the truck, sparking the fire.
