Mom Thinks Binding Toddler in Duct Tape Is Funny, Takes a Pic of Her Kid and Shares it, Gets Arrested
When you see something cute, or funny, or interesting these days, the impulse is to grab your cellphone or digital camera and take a snapshot and share it with friends and family. In the case of a 19-year-old Hesperia woman, she allegedly did something, shared the photo, and got arrested. What Danyella Higgins is accused of doing is binding the hands and feet and covering the mouth of her 2-year-old son with duct tape, says MyFoxLA.
Authorities were alerted to the possible abuse when Higgins' friend--the recipient of a pic of the child taped up sent over by Higgins--got in touch with them. Higgins reportedly told investigators she had been using the tape on a window, and "thought it would be funny to tape up her son."
Her son was found with bits of tape still on his body. Higgins was arrested Tuesday, and the child handed to child welfare officials in San Bernardino County.
