Megadeth Came 'In Peace'

Some bands happily forget their hits of years ago. Last night in Hollywood, Megadeth paid tribute to a month-long tour of doing just the opposite.

The sold out Palladium show was the final of the "Rust In Peace 20th Anniversary Tour,” celebrating one of the metal band’s most prized albums. Reports are circulating that the concert was filmed for a forthcoming DVD release.

Formed in Hollywood 27 years ago, Megadeth have undergone many lineup changes, but are again anchored by founding members Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson. The two virtuoso guitar players, arguably as skilled and quick as ever, patched a feud to reunite, and the results were worthy of the olive branch.

The strong performance was just what you would hope finds its way onto DVD. They were up-for-it, tight, and error-free. The crowd was joyous, appreciative, and wouldn't stop singing. It sure felt like a long awaited reunion on both fronts.
