Meatball, the Glendale Bear, Tranquilized After Taking Another Trek in Neighborhood

He's known as Meatball, or Glen Bearian, and he's even on Twitter. But on Sunday, the same bear who has been found rifling through Glendale-area trash cans multiple times was spotted yet again in the neighborhood.
Found sleeping in a tree in La Crescenta, the "Glendale Bear" was then tranquilized and taken back into the wild, according to City News Service.
The bear was seen early Sunday morning in the 3000 block of Foothill Boulevard.
Officers with the Glendale Police Department, as well as officials with the California Department of Fish and Game, arrived on scene and managed to wake him by firing bean bag rounds at the slumbering bear. They then sedated him with tranquilizer shots, and moved the unconscious animal back into the Angeles National Forest.
Even the Fish & Game folks referenced the bear's Twitter account in their announcement of his safe transport out of the neighborhood:
