Man Shot To Death In Parking Lot Of Islands Restaurant In Marina Del Rey
A man was found shot to death in the parking lot of a popular Marina del Rey restaurant, and authorities are trying to piece together the crime.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 400 block of West Washington Boulevard at 3:40 a.m., early Sunday morning, after reports were called in of a gunshot victim. When first responders arrived, residents were performing CPR on the man. However, he was ultimately declared dead at the scene, according to ABC 7.
The man was found near a white pickup truck in the parking lot of an Islands restaurant and only shot once, Lieutenant Holly Francisco told KTLA. The restaurant was closed at the time and investigators are unsure why the victim was in the parking lot at that hour.
The victim has not been identified by authorities.
Anyone with information on the shooting is being asked to call the sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
