Man Walks Into Topanga Police Station, Confesses To Killing His Girlfriend
Early Tuesday morning a man walked into Topanga Area Community Police Station and told front desk officers that he'd killed his girlfriend.
The suspect, identified as 58-year-old David Pearson, pointed police to the location of his apartment in the 9200 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard where they found 62-year-old Kristen Hyde dead inside the residence, according to a LAPD news release.
Detectives believe the woman was strangled, and "determined Pearson was involved in the crime." Pearson was arrested, booked, and is being held on $1,000,000.00 bail. Authorities are investigating a motive for the crime. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Topanga Homicide Detectives N. Pikor or B. Pogue at (818) 756-4820.
