Man Tries To Sneak Out Of Costco With 24 Quarts Of Oil Strapped To His Body

A not-so-slick criminal was arrested after trying to sneak 24 quarts of oil out of Costco yesterday.Jorge Sanchez, 35, of South Gate tried to slip through the exit of a Burbank Costco yesterday around 4:30 pm, according to the Burbank Leader. (Why he wanted to steal oil and why he would choose the worst place to steal anything bulky is beyond us.)
He was spotted by employees that tried to chase him down but they lost him after he jumped a chain-link fence. As he fled, quarts of oil slipped out of his clothes.
Police officers caught up with Sanchez later. He still had bungee cords wrapped around his legs and waist that officers said he used to strap the oil onto himself.
