Man Shot On Sunset Blvd In Echo Park Has Died

Rampart Division police have reportedly confirmed that the man shot in the back Friday night while fleeing attackers on Sunset Boulevard has died, according to The Eastsider LA. No additional details about the victim or the incident have been released.
The man was reportedly being chased by a group of suspects when he was shot in the back. The shooting was described as a "through and through" with the bullet reportedly exiting through his chest. According to early police reports, the victim collapsed around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Logan Street, marking the first homicide in Echo Park this year, according to the L.A. Homicide Map, reports The Eastsider LA.
