Man Driving U-Haul Killed in Truck-to-Truck Shooting
A man driving a U-Haul pick-up truck was shot in the head and killed shortly after midnight in South Gate Tuesday night.
The victim, Randy Telles, 23, of Bell Gardens was identified today and police are releasing a description of the alleged shooters. Telles was driving down San Gabriel Avenue in a U-Haul truck and he was shot near the intersection of Missouri Avenue.
After he was shot, his truck rammed into a car, took out a gate and crashed through a carport. Telles died at a hospital about three hours later.
Sheriff's detectives handle homicide investigations for the South Gate Police Department. Right now they suspect that two men in a white SUV were responsible for shooting Telles.
