Man Falls To Death Inside Pacific Design Center In Likely Suicide
A man fell to his death inside the Pacific Design Center's rotunda yesterday afternoon in what authorities say is likely a suicide.
Paramedics were called to the scene inside the Green Building rotunda, according to WeHo News.
A witness Sangeeta Varma described the scene for WeHo News:
"I do know I was there attending a Grand Opening event in the Green Building, when a handful of us were hanging out on the 2nd Floor mezzanine just talking, we heard a huge thump, like someone had dropped a steel beam or something. The next thing we know, there is a man running in from the adjacent stair/escalator well yelling 'Call 911.'"
Sheriff's homicide detectives are handling the case, and they told WeHo News that they suspect the case is a suicide. The coroner's office told the website yesterday that they have not been able to identify the man or notify next of kin.The last suicide at PDC was in 2009 when Hollywood agent Jon Furie lept to his death from a parking garage.
