Man Beats Stranger to Death in Wal-Mart With Bat Grabbed from Sporting Goods

A man beat a 74-year-old man to death in a Lakewood Wal-Mart with a bat grabbed out of the sporting goods section yesterday afternoon.
Witnesses told the sheriff's department that the assault was completely unprovoked, and the suspect and victim didn't know each other, according to a statement from the sheriff's department. Wal-Mart security guards were able to detain the 46-year-old suspect until deputies got there.
In case you were hoping to go to this Wal-Mart, you're out of luck. Authorities are shutting it down so that they can investigate this bizarre killing.
