A note of caution to drivers who use the 405 Freeway at night: Tonight there will be a full directional closure as well as ramp closures between the 101 Freeway and Getty Center Drive, so it's time to plan for your detour.

In order to facilitate the contractor's ongoing rebuild work on the Mullholland Bridge, the 405 Freeway southbound will be closed in full overnight, with lane closures starting at 10 p.m. and a full shutdown in that direction starting at midnight.

Ramps in the closure area will close down as early as 7 p.m.

The freeway is expected to re-open at 5 a.m.

Southbound Sepulveda is the suggested alternate route. Metro is keeping everyone posted on closures and other 405-related info on Twitter and Facebook, too.
