On Friday, the body of magician Daryl Easton was found dead in a changing room at Hollywood's famed Magic Castle. The discovery closed the venue at around 7:30 p.m., and reports by the LAPD initially rendered Easton's death as suicide by hanging.

However, on Saturday, a statement by the L.A. County Medical Examiner's office ruled the death an accident.

"Our doctor closed it as an accident," the office's watch commander David Smith told Reuters.

As we reported on Saturday, Easton, 61, was discovered dead with a bag over his head by an employee of the Castle. However, initial reports that Easton was found in his underwear were corrected by Vicki Greenleaf, a spokeswoman for the Academy of Magic Arts, who stated he was fully clothed when he was discovered in his dressing space.
