Magic Mountain And Knott’s Berry Farm Parent Companies To Merge

Theme park companies Six Flags, the owners of Magic Mountain, and Cedar Fair, the owners of Knott’s Berry Farm, announced an $8-billion merger on Thursday.
How will this affect visitors: The merger won't immediately affect visitors at the theme parks in Buena Park and Valencia. But in the future, the companies hope to leverage characters the companies own rights to, namely Looney Tunes, DC Comics and Peanuts, to improve experiences.
Name changes: Six Flags will still be Six Flags. And Knott’s Berry Farm will still be Knott’s Berry Farm, except during Halloween, when it adopts the moniker Knott’s Scary Farm.
