Whose House? Rams To Move Training Complex To New Digs In Woodland Hills

The Los Angeles Rams will move its headquarters and training complex to Woodland Hills next year, a move anticipated by team’ owner Stan Kroenke's purchase of almost 100 acres of property in the area.

The team has been headquartered in a temporary complex in Agoura Hills since 2016. The Rams announced the move to a new permanent headquarters and training complex on Wednesday.

The Rams’ were originally heaquartered near Cal Lutheran University — approximately 50 miles away from SoFi Stadium, where the team plays its home games.

At the new Woodland Hills location, the distance from the headquarters to SoFi stadium will be about halfway from the stadium.

L.A. City Councilmember Bob Blumenfield represents the Woodland Hills neighborhood and says that the team will provide “a breath of fresh air to the area."

“We're going to have new jobs. We're going to have excitement. We're gonna have the Rams, the players, and the staff eating in our restaurants, shopping in our stores, being part of the community,” Blumenfield says.

While he is enthusiastic about the Rams becoming a part of the community, Blumenfield says the training facilities are not open to the public.

“Unfortunately folks are not going to be able to come out to their practices," he said. "They will be working with the community, reaching out to the community, being part of community events and that kind of thing. But it's not going to be a place that people are going to go to see football.”

Construction is expected to begin in about a week. The training camp will open in July 2024 and football season will begin in September 2024.
