Long Beach Cop Accused of Obtaining Child Porn From Minor He Met on the Job

One of Long Beach's finest has been arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography.Long Beach Police Officer Noe Yanez is accused of meeting a minor on the job and then texting his victim to get inappropriate pictures, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The gender and the age of the minor has not been disclosed. The victim told someone at school, and the Long Beach Police Department started an investigation that led to Yanez's arrest yesterday.

Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell released a statement: "Not only are the actions of this officer a violation of the law, they are a violation of the community's trust and a violation of the principles of this department."

Yanez is a 9-year veteran of the department. He has been suspended without pay, and he is being held at the Los Angeles County Men's Central Jail.
