Right now, we need your help during our short June member drive to keep the local news you read here every day going. This has been a challenging year, but with your help, we can get one step closer to closing our budget gap. Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership.

Over in Valley Village, a new store has opened on Laurel Canyon Blvd. Green & Greener has been an online only website for two years now, but two weeks ago, a husband and wife duo made the leap from the web to the street.

Green & Greener is one of the most exciting green stores in Los Angeles. From a selection of clothing and bathroom products to hardware, this store is holds some of your everyday around the house needs such as light bulbs, folders, paints, kitchen gear, cleaners, furniture and more (a light sampling of products is below). An additional bonus of a 10% discount is available for those who get to the store by foot, bicycle or public transportation. Do you have to prove it? Well, Green & Greener will know -- they call it Karma.
