Larry Flynt Offering Richard Mourdock $1M To Prove God Told Him His Intentions About Rape

'Tis the season for media moguls to make big cash offers to politicians, it seems. "Hustler" founder Larry Flynt is putting forth an offer to Indiana Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock of $1 million if Mourdock can prove God himself communicated his intentions regarding rape with him.The offer comes as a result of Mourdock's controversial statement during a debate that “even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”
On November 1, the offer will appear in an ad Flynt has placed in the Indianapolis Star, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Flynt is looking for tangible proof Mourdock can back up his claims--namely evidence like "letters, email, text messages or videos from God, or messages addressed to you from God transmitted by any third party, including the Republican National Committee or the Romney/Ryan campaign."
The politically-inclined left-leaning pornographer is certainly fond of making big bucks offers, as THR elaborates:
[H]e once offered $1 million for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer of John F. Kennedy and $1 million for information on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's unreleased tax returns. He publicized the Romney reward with advertisements in The Washington Post and USA Today.
Romeny didn't bite, and it's pretty likely Mourdock won't either. He already issued a statement to further explain his initial remarks about abortion:
God creates life, and that was my point. God does not want rape, and by no means was I suggesting that he does. Rape is a horrible thing, and for anyone to twist my words otherwise is absurd and sick.

Flynt has given Mourdock until 8 p.m. EST on November 5 to take him up on the offer.
Of course, these high-value "offers" don't just come from the left and go to the right; while Flynt's offer is largely meant to be taken lightly, Republican big mouth wallet Donald Trump is pretty serious about his offer of giving $5 million to President Barack Obama if he releases his college and passport records.
MSNBC's Rachel Maddow posted the full text of the ad, which is written as an open letter, on her blog:
"I am offering you $1 million in cash, to be deposited in any bank you designate in the United States, Cayman Islands or Switzerland, for proof to substantiate your statement on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, that 'even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.' "Please be kind enough to verify your claim for a wondering nation. I will accept for purposes of this reward any verifiable transcript of your personal conversations with God; letters, email, text messages or videos from God, or messages addressed to you from God transmitted by any third party, including the Republican National Committee or the Romney/Ryan campaign.
"I assume that you would not have made this statement unless you had been authorized by God. No one who believes in God would ever use the Almighty's name in vain. That would be blasphemy."
