Man Arrested For Vandalizing 29 Cars In Koreatown
On Monday night, a man was arrested for vandalizing almost 30 vehicles in Koreatown.
LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado told LAist that police received a call at around 9:15 p.m. Monday night about a man vandalizing cars. When they arrived, they found that 29 vehicles had been vandalized in the areas of 3rd Street and New Hampshire Avenue, and 4th Street and Catalina Street. William Michael Ramirez was taken into custody about 15 minutes after police arrived on the scene, according to Preciado. According to booking records, Ramirez is a 32-year-old male.

The L.A. Times reports that officers witnessed Ramirez in the act of smashing a car window with a blade. “He was walking down the street and smashing the windshields of over 20 vehicles,” LAPD Sgt. F. Carrillo told the Daily News. Preciado told LAist that Ramirez used a circular metal saw blade to smash the windows.
