Yesterday was election day for those in Los Angeles' second district, spanning a slice of the Valley from Sherman Oaks to the Northeast Valley. Ten candidates put in a bid, but only two came out strong enough to turn the race into a runoff, which will take place on December 8th. Assemblyman Paul Krekorian and Businesswoman and City Commissioner Chris Essel dominated the results, something that was not too surprising, one bit. Here are the full results:TAMAR GALATZAN 1,871 12.94 (3)
JOZEF "JOE" THOMAS ESSAVI 306 2.12 (9)
** CHRISTINE ESSEL 4,104 28.39 (2)
MICHAEL MC CUE 339 2.35 (8)
PETE SANCHEZ 699 4.84 (5)
DAVID "ZUMA DOGG" SALTSBURG 410 2.84 (7)
FRANK SHEFTEL 441 3.05 (6)
** PAUL KREKORIAN 4,929 34.10 (1)
MARY BENSON 1,198 8.29 (4)
AUGUSTO BISANI 158 1.09 (10)

Expect a grueling and probably nasty race over the next few months. Yee. Haw.
