Weekend Events: 8 great things to do in Southern California

Truth matters. Community matters. Your support makes both possible. LAist is one of the few places where news remains independent and free from political and corporate influence. Stand up for truth and for LAist. Make your year-end tax-deductible gift now.

A burst of April showers is in store for the weekend ahead, but there is far too much going on around town to stay inside under the covers. Stock up on homemade goods, get amped for baseball season and laugh all night long — here's the rundown.
