Freeway crash in Torrance leaves one dead
Someone died this morning in a crash on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Torrance.
The crash was reported at 2:26 a.m. on the 405 east of Crenshaw Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A minivan was struck by at least one other vehicle and one person died, a CHP crash investigator told a video crew at the scene. A coroner's investigator was summoned.
An investigation was under way but the freeway lanes were not blocked, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
