SoCal weather: Possible rain through the weekend as high surf continues
After a foggy Thursday morning, Southern California can expect cooler temperatures and chances of rain going into the weekend.
There will be a 20 to 40 percent chance of rain Thursday evening in the Los Angeles area, according to the National Weather Service. On Friday, there will be up to 50 percent chance of rain with possible isolated thunderstorms.
Forecasters say highs will be in the upper- to mid-60s through the weekend, with the possibility of wind advisories for the mountains and parts of the valleys.
The weather service forecasts a 50 percent chance of showers Sunday evening and a 20 percent chance of rain Monday.
This week’s high surf advisory continues through Sunday at 5 p.m., with west-facing beaches in L.A. County looking at surf up to 12 feet on Friday.
