San Onofre nuclear power plant to test sirens
If you hear some loud sirens in south Orange County tomorrow, no need to be alarmed.
Each year, federal law requires the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station to test its emergency sirens.
So between 10 a.m and noon, the power plant will turn on its 52 sirens in northern San Diego County and southern Orange County. Each siren blast will last three minutes.
You’ll be able to hear them in Dana Point, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano and other neighborhoods around that area.

Flyers have already gone out to homes, businesses and schools in those areas to warn them about the siren test.
