Ronald Reagan's grandson arrested in Van Nuys
Ronald Reagan's grandson was arrested today in Van Nuys, according to authorities.
Updated 7:40 a.m.
Cameron Reagan, the 31-year-old son of Michael Reagan, was taken into custody for resisting arrest, said Los Angeles police officer April Harding of the Media Relations Section.
"Officers saw a suspect leaving the rear door of a residence and attempted to stop and talk to him," Harding said. "The suspect was very uncooperative and belligerent, and he was arrested for resisting arrest."
According to TMZ.com, Reagan was arrested after someone inside the residence pushed a "panic button."
Reagan was booked at the Van Nuys Jail for a misdemeanor and was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Reagan has had scrapes with the law in the past, including being sentenced in 1999 to six months in jail on charges of receiving stolen property for his role in two car burglaries, TMZ reported.
Police did not immediately disclose why officers were sent to the location.
