Radio host Piolin to get new show on Sirius XM

Popular Spanish-language radio host Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo will be returning to the airwaves with a new national platform.
Satellite radio broadcaster SiriusXM announced Tuesday that it would launch a morning-drive show called "Piolin Radio" to headline a new entertainment channel of the same name.
Sotelo's previous gig was a similar and wildly popular Los Angeles-based morning-drive show that he famously used to mobilize massive immigration marches in 2006 and 2007 and to interview President Barack Obama. Univision dropped the show a month after a co-worker accused the host of sexual harassment. Sotelo has denied the charge.
"I am honored SiriusXM believes in me. As I tell my listeners, 'We came to succeed.' And now, as we step up to a new level, I will be doing that on the biggest radio platform possible," Sotelo said in a statement released by SiriusXM. "I can't wait to fly free and for the first time be truly available coast-to-coast."
"Piolin Radio" will be a live, four-hour call-in show featuring Sotelo's take on the news, celebrity guests, listener call-ins, pranks, music and more, according to SiriusXM.
The company stated that more details on the new show and channel, including a launch date, will be announced soon.
