Northbound Sepulveda tunnel near LAX reduced to 1 lane Wednesday night

Two of three northbound lanes of Sepulveda Boulevard from the Imperial Highway through the Sepulveda Tunnel near the Los Angeles International Airport are set to close Wednesday night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., according to a press release from the airport. The southbound side was set to remain open.
The reason for the closure is in order to repair a damaged culvert, according to the release. They began the repairs with full closures of northbound Sepulveda Boulevard through the tunnel on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Airport officials advised that travelers allow extra time to reach the airport. The release recommended, for those approaching LAX from the south or the east, to use Century Boulevard to access the Central Terminal Area during the closure. It also said that you could access LAX using the 96th Street bridge and from southbound Sepulveda Boulevard.
A previous release had said that the closure could be extended to include Wednesday night. Other closures that were scheduled for those nights: the northbound I-405 exit to the westbound I-105, as well as the westbound I-105 exit to northbound Sepulveda Boulevard. Detour signs were set to be posted by Caltrans.
