LA prepares for Nipsey Hussle's final "Victory Lap"

Tickets sold out within minutes for the Celebration of Life event for rapper and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle at Staples Center Thursday morning. There’s also a procession planned through South L.A. for fans to pay their final respects.

Hussle’s casket will travel just over 25 miles in a “victory lap” from Staples Center, hitting the neighborhoods where Hussle lived and worked. The phrase refers to Hussle's 2018 album by the same name.

This is an archive post of a story that aired on the radio on April 10.
