National Republicans spend more to oust Boxer

The national Republican Party is spending another $1 million in its campaign to oust U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer and elect Carly Fiorina.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee’s now pumped a total of $3 million into television advertising against Boxer. The ads blast Boxer as an ineffective incumbent.
In an ominous tone, the announcer says, “After 28 long years of Washington partisanship, this is Barbara Boxer’s California: trillions in reckless wasteful spending, destroying small business, crushing hopes."
A spokesman says the ads are evidence the GOP believes it can unseat the Democratic incumbent.
National Democrats have yet to invest in the race. Boxer needs less help in this overwhelmingly Democratic state.
Boxer's also raised more money than her opponent, Carly Fiorina, and used it to buy attacks ads against the former Hewlett-Packard CEO
The ad's announcer points out Fiorina laid off 30,000 workers. Fiorina is then shown in an old television clip saying, “When you’re talking about massive layoffs, which we did, perhaps the work needs to be done somewhere else."
