Mitt Romney in Southern California
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is in Southern California Friday to promote his new book and to revive his old presidential aspirations.
Mitt Romney will sign his new book during an appearance from 7pm-9pm Friday at the Barnes and Noble in Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza.
He's been making the rounds lately.
“Thank you so much. So good to see you. Its great to be around friends again," Romney told cheering delegates to the California Republican Party Convention last weekend.
He was there to introduce gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, who once worked for him.
Romney also took the opportunity to predict his party’s comeback at the polls.
“We for many years as Republicans have pitched to the people of country that Democrats were spending too much and borrowing too much," he said. "But Independents and Democrats were not moved at all. That’s changed.”
Romney hopes to be a part of that ‘change’ when he runs for president in two years.
It’s not uncommon for candidates to write books. Romney’s is called “No Apology: The Case for American Greatness.”
