LA's Uber and Lyft Drivers Are Striking For Livable Wages
Hundreds of drivers turned off their Uber apps and chanted and waved colorful signs that said “Better pay now.”
They’re demanding Uber reverse its decision to cut driver’s mileage pay from 80 cents an hour to 60 cents. Uber says it's adding a new promotion feature to reward driving more often and at peak times to make up for the per-mile cut.
As both Uber and Lyft prepare to go public, drivers are asking for a $28 dollar minimum wage across all rideshare apps.
