Gold Line still partially closed following Thursday big rig collision

Metro's Gold Line remains closed Friday between Lake and Sierra Madre Villa in Pasadena.
A big rig carrying a tractor landed on the tracks Thursday and damaged a power pole. This after it collided with another big rig on the eastbound 210 Freeway. The drivers were both injured, one seriously.

Metro spokesman Luis Inzunza says crews have a new pole in place, but they're still not done with the repairs.
"The pole and the overhead wires, they need to test it and make sure that it's working properly and that it's installed properly. We're trying to get the service restored as soon as possible."
Repairs are not expected to be complete until late Friday night.
Shuttle buses continue to transport passengers between the Lake and Sierra Madre Villa stations.
The 210 Freeway is open.
